Based at Sollohub Music since 2012, these one-on-one lessons take place in a private studio environment that supports focused listening and steady, in-time work. Sessions emphasize rhythm, practical music theory, technique, and musical expression as integrated parts of playing, practicing, and making music in real time.

COAHCING AND RETREATS
Online lessons are offered via Zoom, providing a flexible and accessible format while maintaining focus on listening, time, and continuity. When helpful, portions of each session can be recorded for later review, allowing students to revisit concepts and examples within their own practice environment.
Festival workshops are presented alongside other players and educators, including Lisa Liu and Greg Ruby, in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival, offering a collaborative environment for learning and connection.
Ongoing coaching is offered through the GypsyAndJazz.com program in collaboration with Yaakov Hoter, shaped by years of learning, teaching, and musical exchange. This includes online coaching as well as immersive retreats, with past gatherings in Tuscany and an upcoming retreat in the UK, bringing students together for immersion, shared listening, and musical exchange.
This approach centers on rhythm as a foundation not only for playing the guitar, but for practice, learning, and long-term growth. Practice is approached as a way of developing attention, continuity, and trust over time, with emphasis placed on staying present and connected through uncertainty rather than interrupting the process in search of correction or control.
