Performance and collaboration remain an essential part of my musical life, informing both my practice and my coaching. Current projects include Hot Club of Olde Town, Gypsy Swing Revue, Odessa rose, and other ongoing collaborations.
Hot Club of Olde Town is a Colorado-based swing ensemble celebrating the music and legacy of Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, and the rich tradition of gypsy jazz and swing music. Led by guitarist Michael Isabell, the group performs for festivals, concert series, wineries, private events, weddings, and swing dances throughout Colorado's Front Range.
Born from Colorado's longest-running weekly swing jam at Silver Vines Winery in Olde Town Arvada, the ensemble brings together exceptional musicians who share a passion for expressive acoustic swing, thoughtful ensemble playing, and the joy of live performance. While the weekly jam continues to welcome musicians, dancers, and listeners alike, Hot Club of Olde Town has grown into a polished performing group with a deep and ever-evolving repertoire.
Whether providing elegant background music for an intimate gathering or delivering an energetic concert for a festival audience, Hot Club of Olde Town blends infectious rhythms, timeless melodies, and genuine musical conversation into every performance.
